Why Are The Titans Fans So Obsessed With Signing DeAndre Hopkins?

Recently, one of my colleagues at the network asked me. “Why are Titans fans so obsessed with signing DeAndre Hopkins?” To me it was a silly question because of the state of our wide receiver core, outside of Treylon burks, which isn’t the most solid to put it nicely. Plus, Hopkins is a proven hall of fame wide receiver.

I read an article earlier this week, and we’ve all known for a while now, that DeAndre Hopkins was really looking for two things in his new team. That is a chance to win a championship and simply put money.

Let me start by saying in my opinion Hopkins has at least two more years where he is going to play at the level we are used to now, possibly more than that. So, if I was him I would be looking for a team that can get into the offseason with a strong push in the postseason by 2024. This is where the Titans come in.

Not only would he make us instant contenders for the division title this year, but next year we will have around 125 million in cap space. Plus, we now know Ran Carthon will reward players that produce. We also have a young quarterback with a huge arm with lots of upside.

If DeAndre Hopkins is a betting man (figuratively speaking of course), and I hope he is, he should bet on himself and the Titans making a run at the championship in 2024. Again, the money is there and with options to throw to we have seen Tannehill can be a top 10 quarterback in the NFL. We will have plenty of options with Hopkins, Burks, Henry, Spears, Okonkwo, and Whyle. That sounds like an offense you can scheme all kinds of plays from.

Just wanted to point out some of the reasons I as a Titans fan want DeAndre Hopkins so bad.
