So everybody should know why DeAndre Hopkins would be a great fit for the Tennessee Titans, but I think the Titans are just as a great fit for Hopkins.
As a seasoned veteran wide receiver who has been productive his whole career, only being hindered by a six game suspension given by the league for performance enhancing drugs. His production speaks for its self.
Also, he fits in our system perfectly. With a run heavy offense it opens the opportunity for more one on one matchups on the outside. Not to mention he would have a very young and talented receiver next to him in Treylon Burks.
We have a more improved offensive line, that is geared more toward keeping our quarterback off the ground instead of opening holes for Derrick Henry. Did I mention we had an amazing running game.
Connections are another reason. Tim Kelly is the Titans offensive coordinator, and the last time Hopkins played for Kelly as the offensive coordinator he caught 104 passes for 1,165 yards and 7 touchdowns. Plus when Hopkins was asked about Vrabel when he was appointed the Titans new head coach, he gushed about Vrabel being a players coach and he knows how to win championships.
We also have an pretty good quarterback in Ryan Tannehill. Some Titans fans an other critics will disagree with me on this, but with weapons he has proven he can get the job done. He has taken the Titans to the playoffs three out of his four seasons with the team. He has a 102 QBR since joining the Titans in 2019.
Also, we have to talk about money. We have plenty. Our cap space for the next two seasons will be somewhere around 90 to 100 million both years. So we have plenty of room for restructures or void years, or extensions. So yes Hopkins fits with the Titans as much as he fits the team.
