My inner thoughts about the Future of the Titans

I’m just rambling through my thoughts on this one.

I do think there is going to be a down season during this “competitive rebuild” we are going through. The thing is, I believe that it’s more than likely going to happen next season and not this season.

Now we are going to have a lot of money to spend but you know with this team that doesn’t mean they will actually spend it. I’m not going to get my expectations spiked up thinking they are going on a crackhead-style shopping spree like the Jags are known to do.

I do think they will fill necessary holes but, I wouldn’t bank on them bringing in a ton of big name players.

I want them to move on from Tannehill after this season regardless of where Levis or Malik are in their development. I’m all for sitting and learning but at some point, a QB has to be in a real game in order to have a real chance to grow. I don’t have a preference when it comes to Levis or Malik. I just want the best man to get the job done.

As far as Henry, I’m torn…

Apart of me would like for him to get extended if he is still running the ball at a high level. The other part of me is thinking it’s best for the team to move on before it’s too late. Either way, I’m prepared for life after Henry.

As far as the defense, they just need to continue building around Big Jeff. I’m happy we got a deal done with him before training camp. It’s just one less thing we have to worry about.

I hope Harold Landry returns to his 2021 form. I’m not expecting him to come out and kill it to start this season. I’ll be happy if I see week to week progress because there will be an adjustment period with him coming back from that ACL injury. What we get out of the LOLB position will depend on what we get out of Harold. I think we are getting a decent pass rush from the left side, that will make things much better for Harold.

I’m not worried about our MLBs at all. Simply put, I believe as long as Vrabel is here, we will get good production from the MLBs.

I’m not too worried about our secondary but, we are going to need another playmaker on the outside. Hopefully just one but be prepared for two. We really just don’t know about the health of Fulton. I’m torn about resigning him mainly for that reason alone. Other than that, I believe he is a solid CB.

Last there’s the Kevin Byard situation. I’m just going to say it because I feel like it needs to be said. KEVIN BYARD IS ON A HOF PATH. AS LONG AS HE IS PLAYING AT A HIGH LEVEL, HE SHOULD BE A TITAN!!!

A good/great safety can play 10-12 years if they stay healthy. KB is durable as hell! The man has not missed a game for us and he takes great care of his body. I don’t need to say much more, but getting rid of KB if he’s still playing at a high level does not make any sense to me.

AT THE END OF THE DAY THO, I’M PREPARED FOR WHATEVER!!!!!

#TITANUP!!!

Marvin Harrison made me a fan. I had a chance to see him play at Syracuse while visiting family. Watching him play was exciting and really got me into football. When he got drafted to Indy, that’s when I became a fan.

  • Two tone blue 4ever, let’s keep Henry because with will levis they better not stack the box and watch Henry return to his old self
